Cataract blindness is particularly important in India where 80% of blindness and severe visual impairment is due to cataract. People in rural areas have to toil to get the treatment. Affordability, availability of good treatment are one of many causes. To provide with the ease of treatment for cataract. Environmental forum of India had started this eye camps with the association of Hon. Padmashri Dr. Tyatyarao Lahane and Hon. Dr. Ragini Parekh. Till date more than 18000+ patients screened, 16+ eye camps organized and 4000+ surgeries completed. It's not only about treatment but also we are concerned about their post health. Keeping this in mind Forum also does free spectacles distribution to the people. Forum has distributed more than 4000+ spectacles till date.
