Water is life, and conserving it is the need of the hour. Because of the decreased groundwater table and low recorded rainfall, some of the rural areas are suffering from drought and water crises. The water crisis not only hits the locality but also overall socio-economic development. The environmental forum undertook the project of deepening and widening water streams, removing silt, sludge, and weeds from the streams, and thus brought into existence the ‘Project Meghdoot’.
The motto of this project is to store more water, which subsequently results in an increased groundwater table and the recharging of nearby wells and water sources.
