Soil is one of the five important elements of life. It is said that our culture is rooted in our soil, and to revive our culture, we must be bound to our soil. The childhood games played have the persistence of memories throughout life. To make the new generation aware of the tradition and to keep it alive, the Environmental Forum of India organized an event called Matitlya Khelanchi Jatra (traditional games played on soil or ground). This involved all the local traditional games like Marvels, Vitti-Dandu, Lagori, etc. To our surprise, it received an overwhelming response and was enjoyed not only by kids but also by parents.
